Giving Back with Toyota Cars

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Hazelwood MOToyota has recently announced the 500 finalists for their challenge to award 100 cars to 100 nonprofits over 100 days.  You heard it right…100 cars given away in 100 days!  Toyota is always finding ways to give back, but this time they are giving back big!  This is the second year for the program that Toyota calls 100 Cars for Good. Toyota is utilizing social media to select the winners daily by public voting on Facebook.

Toyota says that “the 500 finalists come from all 50 states and Washington D.C. and represent nonprofits serving a broad range of community needs, including animal welfare, arts, education, environment, health, veterans’ affairs and safety.”  Their goal is to raise awareness of the efforts of these charities through this campaign with hopes that it will increase their ability to help the communities they are involved in.  Voting started on May 14th and lasts through August 21st.  Five organizations will be highlighted on Toyota’s Facebook page and can be voted on daily.  Whoever receives the most votes each day wins the car…it’s that simple! …And if that wasn’t enough, they even get to choose the car they receive.  Choices include the Camry hybrid, Highlander SUV, Prius v hybrid, Sienna minivan, Sienna mobility, or Tundra full-sized pick-up.  All 500 finalists will receive a digital video camera, training toolkits, and free online advertising credits to get the word out about the great work they are doing.  Runners-up will also receive a $1000 grant from Toyota to help with their efforts.

Drop in at your local Weiss dealer to check out the new 2013 Toyota Sienna St. Louis, which is one of the options of minivans being given away.  Support Toyota and you too help contribute to the efforts of giving back to local communities.

The New Toyota Sienna Gets Rave Reviews!

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Kirkwood St. Louis MissouriLet’s face it, when choosing the right vehicle for your family, customer reviews can be the best indicator of how you will like the car you purchase.  Buying a new or pre-owned car is an investment and it is important to do research on the one you have your eye on.  People who feel strongly about a car are likely to voice that opinion and that helps you make an educated decision based on how owners view the vehicle you are considering.

Are you in the market for a minivan?  The new Toyota Sienna is a great option.  After compiling some of the reviews of the new 2012 model of the Sienna from edmunds.com here are what customers have to say.  The average customer rating is currently a 4.5 stars out of a possible 5.  This is an excellent rating when looking at customer reviews overall in today’s automotive industry.  People are choosing to be more picky about what they believe to be a “5-star rating” due to the crunch on finances.  Everyone wants to ensure more bang for their buck!

Some of the overall reviews by customers stated that they valued the gas mileage of the Sienna.  One customer said, “For a vehicle of this size and power, and with an EPA rating of 18/25, I think this is pretty good, and I am satisfied.”  Another customer provided a review regarding the safety of the Sienna, which protected her family in an accident where her Toyota Sienna was totaled.  Even her children encouraged her to get Sienna, which she of course did.  She stated that, “The Sienna drives well and feels like a luxury vehicle (as far as minivans go!).”

Affordable Accessories and Add-On’s

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Herculaneum MOOne of the biggest perks to buying a brand new car is that you have the option of customizing certain aspects of the vehicle as you deem fit. However, in a time when most buyers are on a strict buying budget it can be difficult to justify the purchase of some accessories and features. One of the more common upgraded features is having leather interior in a vehicle as opposed to traditional upholstery. There are several reasons why a buyer may want leather over upholstery. Leather tends to be much easier to keep clean and gives the vehicle a more luxurious look and feel. However, it can also come with a much higher price tag, especially if you choose to have the leather put on by the manufacturer. Many buyers are unaware that they can have certain accessories and features applied to their new vehicle for a reduced price if they have it done right there at the dealership. You can even have it put in by a professional upholsterer.

The point is not to buy out of your price range but rather get everything as close to what you would like, well within the limits of your budget. The Toyota Motor Corporation is unlike other manufacturers when it comes to this. They offer their accessories and add on features for affordable prices. While some manufacturers ask for more money in order to have the best they have to offer in safety equipment, Toyota makes all of theirs a standard feature on every new vehicle, including the Toyota Sienna St Louis minivan. The new Toyota Sienna is available at your local dealership and comes standard with the Toyota Star Safety System.

Sienna Tire Pressure Basics

Posted in Toyota Sienna

St. Louis MOYour Toyota Sienna is high performance piece of machinery. It was built to run fluidly through all driving conditions and circumstances. However, it effectiveness is only as good as its maintenance and service schedule. In fact, much of your safety while driving a new or used Toyota Sienna St Louis is up to you. By adhering to the maintenance schedule and choosing to take care of your Toyota Sienna you invest in your safety and the safety of your passengers each time you take to the road.

One of your first lines of defense and safety can be found in your tires. Tires that are in good condition and free from any blemishes or uneven wear will provide a much better sense of security and safety. They will in essence be as safe as their condition is good. This is why it is so important to get into a routine of checking the condition of your tires. Some would recommend checking the tire pressure of each of the tires at least once a month. During these cold months it is easy for the pressure in the tires to drop simply due to the outside temperature. Keeping your tires at the correct pressure will allow them to most effectively grip the road. It will also promote optimum fuel efficiency. A Toyota Sienna that has four tires filled to the correct tire pressure will have the ability to achieve a fuel economy average of 19 miles per gallon during city travel and 24 miles per gallon during highway travel. You can purchase a brand new Toyota Sienna minivan at your local Toyota dealer for a starting price of just $25,060. It is one of the most affordable minivans on the market.

New Toyota Sienna Extended Warranty Coverage

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Saint Louis MOWhenever you buy a brand new car, including a new Toyota Sienna minivan St Louis MO, it will come with warranty coverage. However, you will also have the option of purchasing extended warranty coverage if you so choose. Many buyers forego their extended warranty options. However, extended warranties can provide excellent coverage on certain areas just when you need it most.

As a general rule of thumb there are two different types of extended warranties. You will have the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty from the dealership in which you purchased your brand new car or Toyota Sienna. These will be manufacturer and vehicle specific. They are typically comprehensive policies and will simply extend the existing warranty coverage.

Other extended warranty options will be provided by a third party. This coverage is very generalized and not specific to manufacturer, but rather the company providing the coverage. When choosing your extended warranty coverage, your better option is to choose the extended warranty coverage from the manufacturer, sold by the dealership.

The warranty coverage which comes with the new car or new Toyota Sienna purchase will cover a variety of areas. The warranty coverage is what will draw many buyers towards purchasing a new Sienna rather than a used car. However, a brand new vehicle will need the least amount of service throughout the duration of the standard warranty coverage. It is when that coverage expires that a vehicle may begin needed a little more care and maintenance. This is why extended warranty coverage offers such a benefit to buyers. The extended warranty coverage you purchase at the same time you purchase your new Toyota Sienna or new car will provide great peace of mind for several years to come.

Toyota Star Safety and Tires

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Kirkwood MOEach new Toyota Sienna minivan is full of several safety features which all work to keep you and your passengers safe. During the winter months, when environmental elements are at their harshest, these safety features are vital. Each brand new Toyota Sienna minivan St Louis will come standard with the Star Safety System. This system is comprised of five smaller safety systems and is effective at achieving a high level of safety. Other safety features such as your tires, will also keep you safe at this time of year.

The Star Safety System which comes on all new Toyota models including the Toyota Sienna is made up of other systems which include Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, an Anti- Lock Brake System, Electronic Brake- force Distribution, and Brake Assist. Each of these systems will play a key role in keeping your safe this winter season. The Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control will work to keep your tires safely gripped to the roads no matter what the conditions. The rest of the Star Safety System will allow you to react quickly to any driving situation while remaining in control of the vehicle an on your driving course. However, these systems will not work correctly without tires in good condition.

Prior to the onset of the winter season you should have the tires on your Toyota Sienna minivan checked by a professional at your local St Louis Toyota dealer service center. Your tires should have ample tread and be the correct type of tire for winter driving in your area. For instance, some areas of the country will call for all- weather tires, while other portions of the country may warrant special snow tires.

Toyota Recalls Sienna and Others

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Alton IllinoisThe Toyota Motor Corporation is diligent about instating voluntary recalls of vehicles in order to make their fleet safer. This is a direct result of the onslaught of mandated vehicles recalls regarding unintended acceleration. No owner wants to learn their personal vehicle has been recalled. However, it is typically a proactive movement in order to avoid a potential problem, rather than an effort to fix a problem which has already occurred. In addition, most manufacturers will perform these recall repairs at no extra cost to the owner. To learn more about recalls from your favorite manufacturer you can visit their website or contact your current dealer.

The Toyota Motor Corporation recently announced a voluntary recall of several Toyota and Lexus model vehicles. There will be 283, 200 Toyota vehicles and 137, 000 Lexus vehicles which qualify for the recall. Toyota would like to replace a potentially defective crankshaft pulley on those vehicles with a V6 engine. There have been no accidents or injuries attributed to the crankshaft pulley issue. There is a possibility that the outer ring of the crankshaft pulley may become misaligned with the inner ring. If this happens in your Toyota or Lexus you may begin to hear a noise when you drive or see an illuminated warning light. If the repair is not tended to in a timely fashion the belt for the power steering pump may detach from the pulley and you may notice a sudden difficulty in steering the vehicle. The vehicles qualifying for the recall include the 2004 Avalon; the 2004 and 2005 Toyota Camry, Toyota Highlander, the used Toyota Sienna St Louis, and the Toyota Solara; the Toyota Highlander HV; the 2004 and 2005 ES330 and RX330; and the 2006 Lexus RX400h.

Economic Recovery Continues, but Not Out of the Woods

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Herculaneum (MO)J.D. Power & Associates is expecting light vehicles sales to increase as much as 1 million units for 2011 over the 2010 selling year. They are chalking up this great increase to it being much easier to obtain credit for most buyers. However, the fact that lit is becoming easier and more lucrative to lease a vehicle means that leasing has increased as well as buying. While the market seemed to bounce back quickly for some, for others, particularly those with subprime credit scores, it has taken a bit longer to see significant lending recovery. And while there have been great recovery strides by the automotive industry, factors such as the negative housing market, higher fuel and vehicle prices and lower financing incentives have all factored into the success of the industry. In addition, the devastating earthquake made it difficult for Japanese automakers to continue their projected production for several months, thus inhibiting sales within the United States. It wasn’t until recently that production has gotten up and running at full speed. The Toyota Motor Corporation is now producing parts and vehicles, such as the, St Louis Toyota Sienna minivan and the newly redesigned Toyota Camry car. As a result they are just now beginning to see the sales numbers they were hoping to see several months ago.

While there has been significant recovery within the auto industry as well as the American economy as a whole, there continues to be great risk. Many would argue we are on the brink of a double dip recession which could land many industries back where they began just a few short years ago. If this were to take place it would mean economic devastation for many.

Insurance Savings with a Sienna

Posted in Toyota Sienna

Herculaneum MOThere were some good things that came from the economic recession of 2008. Many Americans took better control of their money, made wiser investing and spending decisions and found new ways to save, especially when it came to driving. The recession brought sky- high gas prices. As a result many drivers and commuters were forced to become creative in order to save money and offset the cost of fuel.

Car insurance costs were one of the areas many felt there was room for savings. However, some went so far as to reduce their coverage in order to reduce cost. This can be dangerous and end up costing your far more money than seeking other money- saving solutions. Your new or used Toyota Sienna is known for safety and reliability and is affordable. As a result, it is one of the most cost effective vehicles to insure. However, in order to find the best rate, you will need to shop around with different carriers prior to purchasing your Sienna minivan. If you currently have your home insured with one provider, they may be the best place to start shopping. Many insurance providers will give rate reductions to those choosing to insure more than one item with them. You can also ask to see their list of discounts. You can get reductions for having a clean driving record, being, student, or simply falling within a certain age range. Believe it or not your credit will also affect your insurance rate. Just as it is with financing, the higher your credit score the lower your insurance coverage rate. If you have significantly improved your score since you first obtain the insurance coverage you can ask to be re-evaluated for a lower rate.
